Intervest sharpens strategic focus on logistics with the sale of Ubicenter in Leuven

Intervest announces the sale of Ubicenter, a multi-tenant office building located on the Philips site in Leuven (Belgium), to ViRiX. The sale reflects Intervest’s ongoing strategy to further strengthen its focus on logistics real estate across key European markets.
A multi-tenant office building in Leuven
Ubicenter comprises approximately 27,000 m² of office space and accommodates 11 tenants, offering flexible office space in a well-established business environment. Delivered in 2000, the building has served as a stable multi-tenant office asset within Intervest’s portfolio.
“This transaction reflects our ongoing strategy of actively managing and optimising our portfolio in line with our long-term focus on logistics real estate,” said Joël Gorsele, CEO of Intervest. “By divesting this office asset, we continue to sharpen our strategic positioning and concentrate our investments on logistics properties.
ViRiX continues development of the Philips site
For ViRiX, the acquisition marks an important step in the continued development of the Philips site in Leuven. The company intends to prepare Ubicenter I for the future in to a modern, sustainable and flexible office building. With the development of the adjacent Ubicenter II, the redevelopment of the Philips site into a new urban district will be further completed.
The combination of Ubicenter I and Ubicenter II will enable ViRiX to offer office spaces tailored to the needs of a wide range of tenants, creating a future-proof office environment within the Leuven market.
